The intensive finding and research of new biotargets is one of the critical phenomena of "post-genome era". The advances in decoding human genome and genomes of pathogenic microorganisms offer great opportunities for discovery of new therapeutical agents to cure many dangerous diseases. The traditional methods of elucidating physiologically active substances can not effectively meet the requirements of modern research programs based on the analyses of a significant number of biotargets, low-molecular modulators and their functions. The assimilation of new technologies can fully realize the discovery potential in genomics.

ChemDiv, Inc. and Chemical Diversity Research Institute (CDRI) supported by the International Science and Technology Center (Moscow, Russia), Federal agency for Science and Innovations, and Moscow Region Government, invite partners to attend the International conference devoted to the issues of pharmacologically valuable biotargets.

• Proposed Program Topics:
  - Problems and perspectives of researching the most perspective biotargets: GPCR, kinases, signal cascades
  - Biotargets for anti-infective agents: perspective approaches to AIDS therapy, tuberculoses, bird flu and other virulent infections
  - Novel approaches to determining the mechanism of action of physiologically active substances
  - Development of test-systems for high-throughput bioscreening of chemical compounds
  - Infrastructural projects, stimulating new drug discovery. Establishing the scientific cooperation network

• Other proposed activities :
  - Workshop "Methods of compounds target-specific activity computer prediction, information systems and resources for new drug development"
  - Round table discussions
  - Poster sessions

• Application Guidelines:
  The conference organizers endeavor to bring together the leading experts in pharmacological biotargets research making the conference a premier event in this area. All applications will be revised by the Organizing committee. The FREE registration will be granted to the applicants involved into pharmacological biotargets research. The registration fee for other applicants is 300 USD.

• Abstract Submission Guidelines
  Applications for oral and poster presentation are accepted till March 1, 2006. Please submit to ave@iihr.ru There is NO registration fee for presenting companies and organizations. The organizing committee is committed to announce abstract admission before March 10, 2006.

  The applications should contain:
  - Names of the authors (presenting author's name marked by the asterisk)
  - Company name and address
  - Abstract
  - Biography note
  

  The abstract should not exceed 1 page A 4
  (Times New Roman, size 12, interval 1,5).

  The biography note should be limited to 150 words and contain:
  - Full name
  - Academic degree, position
  - Place of job, area of research
  - Public, state or academic activities
  - Other information (achievements, scientific interests, publications)
  The biography note will be included into conference handbook.

• Presenter Information:
  Oral presentation: Presentation time limit - 15 minutes, questions and discussion - 5 minutes. Please submit .ppt files for the slide show to the scientific secretary, Konstantin Balakin, by email to kb@chemrar.ru before March 24, 2006.

  Poster presentation: Poster size - A0 (H 800, W 1200). The poster title, authors, company name and contact information should be indicated in the upper part of the poster. The poster can contain graphs and tables. The font size should be readable from 1m distance. The fastening materials are provided by the organizers in the poster session hall.
